It was an amazing night of celebration as the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA honours legends of the round leather game.
The 2022 edition of the FIFA Best Awards was held in Paris on Monday night. The show saw Argentina legend and world cup winning captain, Lionel Messi secured a second FIFA Best Player trophy and has now better Cristiano Ronaldo's inclusion FIFPro world 11.
Lionel Messi earned his 16th inclusion, taking outright the record he previously shared with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese captain who now plays his professional football in Saudi Arabia missed out for the first time since 2006 as Luka Modric made the team for a sixth time – a figure bettered only by Dani Alves (8), Andres Iniesta (9), Sergio Ramos (11), Ronaldo (15) and Messi.
The Spanish midfielder, Alexia Putellas, beats the United States Women's national team captain to claim the 2022 FFA Best award for best player in the women’s game.

The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper: The 2022 FIFA World Cup winning goalkeeper, Emiliano Martínez (Argentina/Aston Villa FC)
The Best FIFA Men's Coach: Lionel Scaloni - Argentina's World Cup-winning coach, Lionel Scalon obviously clinched the award for seeing the Albizelsters to another world cup victory in 2022.
The FIFA Puskás Award: Marcin Oleksy (Poland/Warta Poznań) - for his wonder goal against Stal Rzeszów
The FIFA Fair Play Award: Luka Lochoshvili (Georgia/Wolfsberger AC/U.S. Cremonese)
The FIFA Fan Award: Argentinian Fans - Argentinian National Team fans who traveled to Qatar in impressive numbers to provide incredible support for their team’s ultimately victorious FIFA World Cup campaign, and millions of fans then welcomed their heroes home to Buenos Aires and across the country.
