U-20 AFCON | Tunisia vs Nigeria | Flying Eagles Trash Carthage Eagles 4-0 To Clinch Bronze Medal

 

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria soar higher and above the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the U-20 African Cup Nations 3rd Place match played at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday.


The Eagles open scoring through Ibrahim Beji Muhammed in the 9th minute and Ahmed Abdullahi added the second in the 46th minute, just seconds into the second half. Sunday Jude then bags a brace after scoring Nigeria's 3rd goal in the 48th minute and the 4th goal in the 90th minute.


The 4th goal was a powerful thumping goal from the left corner.


Nigeria finished as second runners-up behind the losers of Saturday's final between Senegal and Gambia at the same venue.


Seven times record winners, the Flying Eagles are appearing at the tournament for the twelfth time.


The 17th edition of the U-20 AFCON will produce new champions which will be either the cubs of Teranga or the Scorpions of Gambia.


While Senegalese U-20 have reached the finals four times, the Gambians are in their first final after defeating Nigeria by one goal in the semi-final.
